TSL Seeks Capital Loan From County

Tourism Sarnia-Lambton is asking the county for a $60,000 loan to help cover the cost of renovations at its new location on Venetian Blvd.

TSL Treasurer Doug Woods says their new space in the Douglas G. Keddy Building provides room for local displays and retail sales for area tourist attractions.

He says as a non-profit organization they can't afford to use their reserve funds that amount to only about 10 per cent of the yearly operating budget.

TSL staff plans to move into the new location in mid-January.

County Council tabled the loan request to the new year pending a staff report.
