Sting Doubles Whalers

The Sarnia Sting doubled the the Whalers 4-2 in Plymouth Saturday night for their fourth straight win.

Sarnia led 2-0 after the first period on two goals by Daniel Nikandrov, the first 59 seconds into the game.

The Whalers rallied to tie the game 2-2 in the middle of the third period before goals by Nikita Korostelev and Brandon Lindberg, the final one into an empty net.

Sarnia goaltender Justin Fazio made 30 saves.

Sarnia is back on the ice on Sunday at 4:05pm to take on the Kingston Frontenacs at the RBC Centre.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
