Another Irish Miracle Saturday

A three decade holiday tradition continues this Saturday when St. Pat's Irish Miracle canvassers fan out across Sarnia-Pt. Edward.

Hundreds of students and volunteers will collect non perishable food items for the needy this Christmas from about 9am till noon.

School Chaplain Joseph Palko says it's become a very special event.

Last year a record breaking 7,700 bags of food were collected thanks in part to the merger of the St. Patrick's and St. Christopher student bodies.

The donations help fill hampers to be distributed by the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Residents are encouraged to place their donations outside the door Saturday morning to expedite collection.
