Cayen Decision Set For Early 2015

A decision in the sexual assault trial of former Sarnia fire chief Pat Cayen is expected to be handed down in the Superior Court of Justice early in the new year.

A trial by judge alone adjourned in its third week Wednesday with Justice John Desotti putting the matter over for determination January 9.

The 55-year-old Cayen was charged with 28 sex-related offences two years ago.

A publication ban prohibits disclosure of the time frame, location of the offences and identity of the alleged victims.

Cayen's employment with the Sarnia fire department was terminated in January 2013.
