Military Transport Spotted At Airport

A very large military aircraft attracted attention over Sarnia-Lambton Thursday afternoon.

A C-17 transport performed some low approach training at Chris Hadfield Airport.

Airport Manager Clare Webb says it's a hulking plane that's about four times the size of a C-130 Hercules.

Webb says it's 174 ft (53 m) long, has a wingspan of about 170 ft (52 m) and a maximum takeoff weight of 265,000 kg. (585,000 lb)

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
