Sting Signs Campbell

The Sarnia Sting has announced that third round pick Chase Campbell has agreed to a Standard Player Agreement with the OHL club.

The 5'8" 170 lb forward was selected 55th overall in this year's OHL Priority Selection.

Campbell has 28 points in 24 games including 7 goals with the Waterloo Siskins of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League this season.

With Vladislav Kodola joining Team Belarus for the World Junior Qualifying Tournament, Campbell is expected to play his first career OHL game Friday night when the Sting hosts the North Bay Battalion.

Pavel Zacha is to play for his native Czech Republic in the World Junior Hockey Championship and Anthony DeAngelo has been named to Team USA's preliminary roster.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
