County Selects New Warden Today

Lambton County Council chooses a new warden and deputy warden in Wyoming today.

It's a two person race to become the next warden of Lambton County after Petrolia Mayor John McCharles withdrew his name.

Barring any nominations from the floor that leaves two candidates -- Sarnia City Councillor Bev MacDougall and St Clair Township Mayor and former Warden Steve Arnold.

If MacDougall is successful she would be the first city representative to be named Warden since John Kowalyshyn in 1997.

Arnold held the position in 2011 and 2012.

Both the warden and deputy warden serve two year terms.
