Gilpin Funeral Chapel Rezoning Application To Be Discussed

A rezoning application will be brought before city council again Monday, December 15.

Gilpin Funeral Chapel Ltd. is seeking permission for a funeral chapel at 608 Errol St. W in Sarnia's north end.

Council tabled making a decision at its November 10 meeting to give staff time to address concerns regarding parking, lighting and a buffer between the residents.

Director of Planing Jane Cooper says they are recommending the zoning bylaw be amended.

Anyone wishing to speak to council on the issue is asked to notify the city clerk by noon Wednesday, December 10.

Council meets in regular session at 4pm Monday.
