Roberts, Campbell Join Colorado Jr. Eagles

The Sarnia Legionnaires have lost a pair of players. Forward Riley Roberts and Defenceman Brad Campbell have quit the team to join the Colorado Jr. Eagles of the WSHL hockey league.

Both players played their final game for the Legionnaires this past Thursday and quickly made the trip to Colorado for their Eagles debuts Friday night.

Each were held off the scoresheet in their first game.

Roberts, an 18-year-old Bright's Grove native, had 45 points in 71 games with the Legionnaires. Campbell, an 18-year-old Sarnia native, notched 27 points over his 64 game career with Sarnia.

The Eagles are coached by former Sarnia Bee Steve Haddon.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
