Council Meets To Review Previous Decision

A special meeting of Sarnia Council is being held at 9:30am this morning.

A request for reconsideration of council's direction on an item during Monday's closed meeting will be considered.

City Clerk Nancy Wright-Laking says council will move into closed session under a section of the Municipal Act to consider labour relations or employee negotiations.

Mayor Mike Bradley reported Monday that a majority of council, in camera, had rejected a tentative contract agreement that had been ratified by the Sarnia Professional Fire Fighters Association.

Council will reconvene in chambers following the closed meeting Friday to provide a report.
