Police Seize Weapons and Drugs

The Sarnia Police Vice and COPPS Units seized various weapons and drugs from an Exmouth St. home Friday night. A 45-year-old Sarnia man and 23-year-old Sarnia woman were arrested following a traffic stop and subsequent search of the home.

At the home, police allegedly found concealed knife blades, a flick knife, a baseball bat with spikes on the end, a 12 gauge pump shot gun hanging from the wall, and shotgun shells. Drugs seized include $460 worth of crack cocaine and $50 worth of marijuana.

The man faces charges of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marijuana, careless storage of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm and carry concealed weapons. He's awaiting a bail hearing.

Meantime, the woman was charged with possession of cocaine and released from custody.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
