Great Lakes Restoration And Protection Agreement Signed

It's one of this country's greatest natural resources.

The federal and provincial governments have renewed their pledge to restore and protect the Great Lakes, by signing the Canada-Ontario Agreement on Great Lakes Water Quality and Ecosystem Health.

Sarnia-Lambton M.P. Pat Davidson says since 2006, Ottawa has invested more than $20 million to improve the Great Lakes.

Efforts will increase to address algae blooms and help prevent aquatic invasive species from entering the lakes.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
