Major Projects Proposed In Petrolia

Petrolia Mayor John McCharles says council will have some tough decisions to make in the New Year.

Two major proposed projects, a replacement of the town's 40-year-old waste water treatment plant, and the replacement of infrastructure under Petrolia Line from Bear Creek to Eureka Street, will affect their bottom line.

The town has applied for a $2-million provincial grant to help fund a $4.6-million Petrolia Line replacement.

They've also applied for upper tier funding to pay two-thirds of the $21-million price tag for a new waste water treatment plant.
