New Year's Baby Boom

It was a busy New Year's morning at Bluewater Health's maternity ward.

Three babies were born between midnight and 3:30am January 1, 2015.

The year's first baby is Kain Paul Phillips, born to Kerrie and Ryan Phillips, at 1:53am.

It's the couples first and Ryan says mother and child are doing well.

Boys were also born Thursday morning to Doug Chartrand and Kara Coltman and Ash and Anju Mathon.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
