Long Time Sarnia Bees Owner Dies

The long time owner of the former Sarnia Bees hockey club has died.

James Maczko died Thursday at Bluewater Health Palliative Care at the age of 85.

Mr. Maczko was also the founder of Jim's Shoe Clinic, a long time member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and a past president of The Sarnia Lions Club.

Visitation will be at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia, 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm on Sunday.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 10am.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
