Cedar Point Project Input Sought

The County of Lambton is asking residents for input on a proposed Road Use Agreement with Suncor Energy.

Suncor wants to build power lines near or on county road allowances as part of its Cedar Point Wind Energy Project.

Public Works Manager Jason Cole says the agreement can be viewed on the county website www.lambton online.ca, first by clicking on the Renewable Energy Projects tab and then the Suncor Energy Cedar Point sub tab.

Cole says gathering comments is a valuable process.

Suncor has received provincial environmental approval for the 46-turbine project. An appeal of that approval is currently being heard by the Ontario Environmental Review Tribunal.

Residents have until February 3 to make comments.

They can be submitted to Jason Cole by email jason.cole@county-lambton.on.ca or by calling him at the administration building in Wyoming.
