The Township of St. Clair Fire Department fire has started Project 2016.
Chief Walt Anderson says they will add some apparatus and undergo firehall expansions to better serve the community.
Anderson says the project, which could cost as much as $4-million, includes two 115 foot aerial trucks, two firehall additions and a drone with infrared capabilities.
Anderson says its expected the project will be completed by early 2016 with the arrival of the new trucks.
The Township of St. Clair Fire Department has 180 volunteer firefighters.
