Snow Park Under Construction

Construction of Ontario's first cable snow park is underway near Lambton College.

A snowmachine, donated by Sarnia Snowfest, has been running 24/7 on the north end of the campus property, just off the RBC Centre's VIP parking lot.

Boarder Pass Project Manager David Ouellette says they're building a flat land course, which will allow people to do similar style snowboarding as they do wakeboarding at Sarnia Bay Marina in the summer.

Ouellette says they hope to open by the end of this month and run seven days a week from around noon to 9pm on weekdays and 9am to 9pm on weekends.

He says the price will be very similar to the summer rates, starting out between $15-$20.

Instruction and equipment rentals will be offered to beginners.

Further details will be posted at www.boarderpasscanada.com
