Update: Four Alarm Blaze In Reeces Corners

Damage is expected to be over $500,000 following a house fire in Plympton-Wyoming late Thursday morning.

Wyoming, Petrolia, Camlachie and Warwick volunteer firefighters were called to a home on Minielly Rd., just east of Oil Heritage Rd., around 11:30am.

Wyoming Fire Chief Mike Vasey says upon arrival smoke was billowing out of the home.

Crews remained on scene overnight as a precaution watching for hot spots. The cause is still under investigation.

The Ontario Fire Marshal's office has been notified, but will not be investigating.

The Petrolia Independent reports the home belongs to founder of Sarnia's Abbott Boats Bill Abbott.

Abbott Boats in Sarnia was destroyed by fire in 2006. A lawsuit against the city of Sarnia, and Cineplex Entertainment Corporation was settled last May.
