Alzheimer Society Exhibit At Gallery

A special exhibit is being shown at the Judith and Norman Alix Art Gallery downtown this weekend.

Sarnia-Lambton Alzheimer Society Education Coordinator Christine Wright says its the first of a few events planned as part of Alzheimer's Awareness Month.

Wright says the organization's next event, is the Walk for Memories January 25 from 9:30am to 11:30am at Lambton Mall.

Funds raised will assist families affected locally.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
