Cold Weather Alert

After a brief period of moderation it's getting unseasonably cold again.

Temperatures will drop with the arrival of a cold front and gusty north-northeasterly winds will pick up.

Another Cold Weather Alert has been issued for Sarnia-Lambton.

It's the second posting this year by the Medical Officer of Health.

Temperatures are expected to drop to -16 celsius (3 F) Monday night.

Lambton Public Health's Paul Buttery says overexposure to cold temperatures can be hazardous and can lead to hypothermia and frost bite.

The cold weather alert is expected to remain in effect until Wednesday.
