Violent Home Invasion On Blackwell

Sarnia police are investigating a violent home invasion that occurred last Sunday in the 1800-block of Blackwell Rd.

Shortly before 8pm, a white male suspect, about 5'8", of medium build, wearing a hoodie under a dark coat, showed up at a residence.

Police say a male victim was hit with a baseball bat after opening the front door.

The victim was eventually able to disarm the intruder and force him out of the house, but not before suffering a broken nose and cuts, bruises and swelling to other parts of his body.

Police say the suspect also may have been injured.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
