Sting Sign Defenceman Sproviero

The Sarnia Sting has signed local defenceman Franco Sproviero to a Standard Player Agreement.

The 16-year-old has had a stellar rookie season for the GOJHL's Lambton Shores Predators, amassing 31 points in 32 games.

Glavin says the Sting don't want to rush Sproviero and expect him to finish the season with Lambton Shores. He says Sproviero will be eligible to practice with the Sting if the Preds season ends early.

Sproviero made his OHL debut with the Sting January 2 against London.
