Update: Nothing Inappropriate In Suspicious Person Report

Sarnia's Police Service is no longer seeking the suspicious vehicle or driver reported in the area of Norman St. Monday afternoon.

Police had reported that an officer and paramedic at the hospital observed the driver of a small black vehicle attempted to speak to a young girl in the area around 3:30pm.

Police say they received a call explaining who the driver was and the relationship with the young girl and there was nothing inappropriate regarding the interaction.

Police say the person was genuinely concerned for the girl and stopped to check on her well-being.

Sarnia police have concluded their investigation.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
