Booth Bumped From Conservative Nomination

The race for Sarnia-Lambton's Conservative nomination, to replace retiring M-P Pat Davidson, has been reduced to three candidates.

Journalist J.D. Booth says he was notified by e-mail Friday that a rule requiring that potential candidates be a party member for six months will not be waived.

Booth says party representatives in Ottawa would not give a reason for the decision.

Marilyn Gladu,Terry Nyp and Peter Aarssen are seeking the nomination to be decided at a meeting February 21.
