NDP Nomination Race Underway

The Federal New Democrat Party has its first candidate for nomination in the Sarnia-Lambton riding.

Canada Customs Officer and National VP of the Customs and Immigration Union Jason McMichael has made his intentions known.

The life-long Sarnia native believes the riding is ready for a local NDP representative with a progressive voice.

McMichael says he's taken a leave of absence from his role with the union for the time being to focus on the task at hand. He says other candidates could make their intentions known as well.

The nomination meeting is February 8 at 2:00pm at the Unifor Union Hall on Devine St.
