United Way Receives Generous Donation From Imperial Oil

Imperial Oil has given a cheque for over $47,000 to the United Way of Sarnia-Lambton.

The company recently held a series of art auctions and donated some of the proceeds to the organization.

Executive Director Dave Brown says they were pleasantly surprised by the company's generosity.

The 2014 United Way Campaign raised $1,955,000.

25 per cent of that was contributed by Imperial Oil through corporate, employee and retiree donations as well as special events.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
