Local Pharmacy Employee Charged In Drug Bust

A pharmacy employee is charged in the seizure of over $6,600 worth of drugs by the Sarnia Police Service Vice Unit.

Police began an investigation Tuesday. Constable John Sottosanti says officers observed a 41-year-old female employee enter and exit a parked vehicle in the area of an unnamed local pharmacy around 5pm.

He says the vehicle was stopped a short time later and a 26-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man were arrested.

Sottosanti says police seized a quantity of Fentanyl patches, Hydromophone pills, marihuana and crystal methamphetamine from the vehicle. A butterfly knife was also recovered.

Police returned to the area of the local pharmacy and arrested the employee for trafficking of Fentanyl and Hydromorphine.

All three were being held for bail hearings.
