Off lake snow that was causing travel problems Friday was expected to gradually dissipate through the afternoon.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Geoff Coulson says while the flurries would diminish there would still be ground drifting causing visibility problems at times.
He notes too, that temperatures will continue to fluctuate.

A special weather statement remained in effect for Sarnia-Lambton for most of the day. The statement ended around 10pm.
Coulson said the criteria for a snow squall warning had not been met due to increasing ice cover on southern Lake Huron that inhibited the development of stronger squalls.
He said local accumulations are around 5 cm as opposed to stronger squalls that can produce 15 cm of snow.
The OPP closed westbound Hwy. 402 for close to three hours Friday morning near Strathroy due to several collisions and poor to nil visibility.
The highway had reopened by late morning.
No injuries were reported in a two vehicle crash on the eastbound 402 near Arkona Rd.
Warwick Fire and Rescue responded just after 10am Friday.
Lambton OPP Constable Todd Monaghan urged motorists to adjust to changing conditions.
