Strong Real Estate Numbers To Start 2015

Sarnia-Lambton real estate sales are off to a solid start in 2015 coming off a record year in 2014.

Board President Jane Baker says 94 properties sold last month with a dollar volume of almost $20-million.

She says the numbers are up over 20 per cent compared to January 2014 stats that were depressed by harsh winter weather.

The average sale price in January was $224,000 compared to $228,000 to start last year.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
