New RBC Food And Beverage Contract

Sarnia council had some tough questions for city staff before deciding to award a new food and beverage contract for the RBC Centre Monday.

A few councillors, including Anne-Marie Gillis questioned the length of the 10 year contract.

Parks and Recreation Director Beth Gignac says they're very confident in the bid from Compass Group Canada.

The Mississauga based company is guaranteeing $1.5-million in revenue and offered over $300,000 for capital improvements into the resturant and food service facilities.

Four submissions were received and evaluated by Sarnia's Parks and Recreation team.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
