Full Time Fire Chief Being Considered

The possibility of hiring a full-time chief for the Petrolia/North Enniskillen Fire Department is under consideration.

John McCharles says provincially mandated responsibilities are increasing the workload for their volunteer chief.

McCharles admits it's would be a financial strain on the communities to hire a full-time chief.

He says it will be up to the Fire Management Committee to make the final decision.

There are 30 volunteers with the Petrolia/North Enniskillen Fire Department.
