Aberarder Central School To Remain Closed Wednesday

Aberarder Central School in Camlachie was closed early Tuesday morning because of a propane leak and will remain closed Wednesday as well.

Lambton Kent District School Board Director Jim Costello says students were evacuated before classes began at 9am.

He says the smell was quickly identified by the school's principal and custodial staff.

A portion of the line on the outside of the school that feeds propane to the boiler was found to be leaking.

Costello says students were taken to Errol Village Public School where parents were called to come get them.

Superior Propane was on site making repairs Tuesday.

The school will also be closed Wednesday due to lack of heat and is expected to reopen Thursday.
