Approval of a proposed pay hike for Lambton County Councillors isn't likely to happen anytime soon.
A committee on corporate services has voted to table the matter until 6 months prior to the next municipal election.
Staff have recommended the warden's pay increase by $3,800 to $61,600 and that councillors receive $150, up from the current $125, for every committee meeting they attend.
It's also recommended the Deputy Warden be paid for the first time ever, receiving a salary of $2,700.
The motion of the committee is not binding, so the matter will still be considered by county council March 4.
