Winter Storm Cost City $119,000

Cleaning up after the major winter storm the first week of February, cost the City of Sarnia $119,000.

The storm dumped 30cm (a foot) of snow on Sarnia-Lambton.

City Finance Director Brian McKay isn't surprised by the bill.

$1.2-million dollars has been set aside for snow removal, salting operations, and sidewalk maintenance in 2015.

However, heading into 2015, the city was already dealing with a $500,000 deficit from the year before.
