Infrastructure Funding For Petrolia, Warwick

Infrastructure improvements in two Lambton County communities are included in 78 projects approved for funding by the province.

Petrolia gets up to $2-million to upgrade water mains, replace water services and storm sewers. The project will ensure sufficient water for fire protection to industrial areas.

The town had applied for a $2-million grant to help fund the $4.6-million replacement of Petrolia Line from Bear Creek to Eureka St. The town was to be responsible for underground infrastructure with the county paying for paving.

Warwick Township is getting over $200,000 for bridge replacement and upgrades to guard rails.
