Accused Identified In Kettle Pt Attempted Murder

The Anishinabek Police Service has released the name of a man charged in an attempted murder in Kettle Point in the early morning hours Wednesday.

32-year-old Kevin Peters of Kettle Point is charged with the crime.

Peters remains in custody awaiting an appearance in Sarnia court.

A 53-year-old Kettle Point man, not yet named, remains in London hospital with life threatening injuries.

Social media reports say the incident occurred at a home and smoke shack on West Ipperwash Rd.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
