Updated: LCCVI Closed Again Friday

LCCVI students in Petrolia will be off again Friday after 6-7 ft of water flooded into the school's basement.

Lambton Kent District School Board Director Jim Costello says a 2 inch water supply line to the school's sprinkler system ruptured at the high school Wednesday morning around 9am.

Electrical panels, the boiler and heating system were submerged.

Costello says 38,000 gallons of water has been pumped out and damage is being assessed.

He says all electrical panels, the boiler and furnace need to be inspected and that will take time.
