Catholic Board To Teach New Sex Curriculum

The St. Clair Catholic District School Board will be teaching required material in the province's new sex-ed curriculum.

Director of Education Dan Parr says if you read through the curriculum, many of the "hot button" issues in the news, were included as examples and are not expectations of what must be taught.

The new curriculum, which provides education about sharing explicit content online, sexual orientation and gender identity, will be introduced this September.

Ontario's curriculum had not been renewed since 1998, making it the oldest in Canada.
