Early 2015 Building Permits Lagging

Building permits issued in Sarnia for the first two months of the year, are lagging far behind last year's early pace.

30 permits worth $3.6-million are about $6-million behind the total for January and February 2014.

Permits for single family dwellings are also well off last year's pace.

There have been four so far this year, compared to 11 at this time a year ago.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
