More Electronic Signs Requested For Hwy 402

Lambton County wants electronic signage added to the eastbound lanes of Hwy. 402 to notify the travelling public of closures.

Infrastructure and Development Services GM Jim Kutyba says the request is being made to the Ministry of Transportation.

He says there's been more issues on the highway in recent years.

The signs would be put up between Modeland Rd. and Oil Heritage Rd.

Kutyba says the signs won't show road conditions, for that you can call 511.

He says they're also asking the ministry to increase fines for disobeying road closure signs.
