Wind Turbine Appeal Dismissed

An Environmental Review Tribunal has given Suncor the green light to proceed with its Cedar Point wind project. An appeal by an Aberarder family citing health concerns has been dismissed. Opposition to the project has been led by the group "We're Against Industrial Turbines." Lambton County also opposed Suncor's plans to build 43 turbines in Plympton-Wyoming and Lambton Shores. W.A.I.T. spokesman Santo Giorno says they expected the decision but it's not necessarily the end of the matter.

Giorno says the appellants could take the case to Divisional Court and eventually to Supreme Court.
