February Real Estate Market Frozen

Not surprisingly, given the weather, February was a slow month for real estate sales in Sarnia-Lambton.

Board President Jane Baker says 105 properties sold with a dollar volume of about $20.2-million, down 16 per cent from February last year.

Baker says the market was frozen by bitter cold with current listings totalling 778.

Baker is confident the market will rebound heading into spring.

The average sale price in February was $213,000 compared to $223,000 a year ago.
