Shell's 'Eco-Marathon' Coming To Detroit Next Month

Sarnia-Lambton residents are being encouraged to attend Shell's Eco-Marathon in Detroit this April.

Local company spokesperson Randy Provencal says the event showcases the future of energy and some extremely energy efficient vehicles made by students. He says more than 70 teams from Canada, the U.S., Brazil and Mexico have registered to take part.

Provencal says several employees at the Corunna refinery are volunteering at the event.

The event at Cobo Hall goes from April 9-12.

The competition is open to the public and admission is free. Tickets are available online by registering at www.shellecomarathon.us

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
