Budget Finalized In St. Clair Twp.

St Clair Township residents with a home assessed at $180,000 will pay $24 more on the municipal portion of the property tax bill this year.

Council has set a budget of nearly $11-million, cutting a proposed 12 per cent increase down to 2.44 per cent.

Mayor Steve Arnold says there's a couple of big infrastructure projects to complete.

Mayor Arnold says a $160,000 decline in provincial funding and a $300,000-plus overrun in the snow removal budget are major factors in this year's budget.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
