Downtown Drug Bust

A 23-year-old man wanted by Lambton OPP was picked up in downtown Sarnia Friday. Members of the Sarnia Police Vice Unit spotted the man in the 300 block of N. Christina St. around 7pm.

The Sarnia resident was arrested on a warrant for breaching his probation. Police found close to 59 g of crystal methamphetamine on the man, with an estimated street value of $7,000. He was held for a bail hearing and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
