Bayside Centre Offers Rejected

Sarnia Council has rejected offers made on Bayside Centre.

The decision was reported out of Monday's closed meeting.

Mayor Mike Bradley says city council reviewed the proposals qualified by the court appointed receiver, but agreed the offers didn't meet their requirements. He says its now left with the receiver and other offers may be generated.

Staff have been directed to inform the receiver of council's decision.

The financially struggling property went into receivership in December 2012 and Toronto-based A. John Page and Associates Inc. was named the court appointed receiver and manager to improve and then sell the property.
