Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle

An 85-year-old woman suffered non-life threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle Monday.

Sarnia police officers were called to the 800 block of Devine St. after reports of a van backing out of a driveway and hitting a pedestrian walking on the sidewalk.

The elderly woman was taken to hospital for treatment.

The 47-year-old male driver has been charged with careless driving.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
