Families Sought For Momentum Program

Sarnia's Rapids Family Health Team is looking for families to participate in its new program called "Momentum."

The initiative is a research based targeted intervention, to support families with a child whose weight is negatively impacting his or her physical and mental health.

Registered Dietician Shaylin Kemmerling says it's a pressing health issue with almost one in every three Ontario children experiencing an unhealthy body weight.

The program is being led by a nurse practitioner in consultation with a pediatric expert.

Families interested in participating are invited to attend today's open house in the lower level of the London Rd. Diagnostic Clinic (481 London Rd.) from 10am-1pm.
