Glimmer Of Hope For Improved Rail Service

The chair of Rail Advocacy in Lambton (RAIL) is hoping service in and out of Sarnia will improve following a first-time meeting with the new president and CEO of Via Rail.

Jim Houston says he's more optimistic than he has been in some time.

Houston says they stressed the importance of resurrecting the afternoon train with Yves DesJardins-Siciliano and were told scheduling changes are coming within the next two months.

Whether or not they're beneficial to Sarnia Lambton remains to be seen.
